Activists in Tehran, Karaj, Kermanshah, Isfahan, Lahijan, Izeh, Eslamshahr and other cities used posters, wall slogans and protest messages to oppose executions and demand the release of political prisoners facing death sentences.

The campaign against executions in Iran continued to expand as Resistance Units and freedom-seeking activists carried out a series of activities across several cities, expressing opposition to death sentences and calling for support for political prisoners facing execution.

The latest activities, carried out in connection with the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign, included the installation of posters, wall writings, protest messages and commemorative displays. The slogans emphasized the rejection of executions, resistance to repression, and solidarity with prisoners sentenced to death.

In Tehran, activists installed posters carrying messages including, “From Qezel Hesar to the entire country: No to execution — Tuesday Campaign” and “Prison and execution are not the answer to the people — Tuesday Campaign.”

In Karaj, posters called for an end to executions, including the messages “No to execution — Tuesday Campaign” and “We demand the immediate abolition of executions — Tuesday Campaign.”

In Kermanshah, a poster carried the slogan, “Political prisoners must be freed.”

Activities were also reported in Isfahan, where activists displayed the message, “Executions do not intimidate us; rather, they strengthen our determination to overthrow [the regime].” Another poster read, “From the red blood of our comrades arise a thousand storms. No to execution — Tuesday Campaign.”

In Eslamshahr, activists used wall writings to denounce the execution of young people and the authorities responsible. One message read, “Execution is a crime; silence is treason.” Another denounced the rulers over the execution of young people.

In Lahijan, activists called specifically for the cancellation of the death sentence against Manouchehr Fallah, displaying a poster that read, “The death sentence of Manouchehr Fallah must be revoked. No to Execution Tuesdays Campaign.”

In Izeh, activists similarly demanded the cancellation of the death sentence against Amir-Hassan Akbari. A poster stated, “The death sentence of Amir-Hassan Akbari must be revoked — No to Execution Tuesdays Campaign.” Another message declared, “Remembering the fallen heroes — fire against these criminals — No to Execution Tuesdays Campaign.”

A commemorative floral tribute was also displayed with the message: “Dear Nima, your memory and name are a hope illuminating our tomorrow.”

A growing campaign against executions

The latest activities demonstrate the continued spread of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign beyond prison walls and into cities across Iran. Through posters, wall writings and other forms of public expression, activists have sought to keep attention focused on prisoners facing death sentences while challenging the use of execution as an instrument of repression.

The campaign has repeatedly called for the abolition of the death penalty and for an end to executions of political prisoners and protesters. Its latest activities again placed the cases of prisoners such as Manouchehr Fallah and Amir-Hassan Akbari at the center of public attention.

The messages displayed across Tehran, Karaj, Kermanshah, Isfahan, Eslamshahr, Lahijan and Izeh also conveyed a broader rejection of intimidation through executions, emphasizing that repression has not silenced opposition to the death penalty.

As the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign continues, Resistance Units and activists are maintaining pressure against executions and expressing solidarity with those facing death sentences in Iranian prisons.
