Activists distribute leaflets and display protest banners demanding an end to executions, the release of political prisoners, and the freedom of prisoners facing death sentences.
Resistance Units and supporters of the Iranian Resistance carried out a series of anti-execution activities across seven Iranian cities on November 3, 2026, distributing leaflets and displaying protest banners in support of the nationwide “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign.
The activities took place in Isfahan, Tehran, Rasht, Shiraz, Karaj, Lahijan, and Sanandaj, highlighting growing opposition to the death penalty and the regime’s use of executions against political prisoners and protesters.
Through these actions, activists called for the complete abolition of executions, the cancellation of death sentences imposed on political prisoners, and the immediate release of political detainees and those arrested during nationwide uprisings.
Resistance Units demand an Iran without executions
The messages displayed on banners and distributed leaflets emphasized the demand for an Iran free of executions. Among the slogans were:
- “No to Execution!”
- “We want an Iran without executions. No to execution!”
- “An Iran without executions is the demand of the Iranian people. Political prisoners must be freed!”
Other messages warned the regime that executions would not suppress popular resistance but would instead intensify the prospect of another uprising.
One slogan declared: “You execute, we rise up. No to execution!”
Another read: “We stand united and committed until the death penalty is abolished. We will stand firm to the end. The answer to death sentences is the red flames of uprising. Political prisoners must be freed!”
The activists also displayed the slogan: “The gallows can no longer intimidate Damavand,” invoking Iran’s iconic mountain as a symbol of national defiance.
Calls for the release of political prisoners and detained protesters
A central demand of the campaign was the immediate release of political prisoners and people arrested during the uprisings.
Messages displayed across the seven cities included:
- “Free political prisoners. Stop executions!”
- “Those detained during the December 2022 uprising must be released. No to execution!”
The slogans linked the struggle against executions with the broader demand for political freedom, emphasizing that imprisonment and death sentences cannot extinguish the Iranian people’s determination to resist repression.
Resistance Units warn about the danger facing Manouchehr Fallah
The campaign also specifically highlighted the life-threatening situation of political prisoner Manouchehr Fallah, with activists expressing solidarity and demanding an end to any attempt to execute him.
Among the messages displayed were:
- “Manouchehr Fallah’s life is in danger. No to execution! Political prisoners must be freed!”
- “Manouchehr Fallah, no to execution. Freedom is your right. We swear by the blood of our comrades!”
By raising his case alongside the broader anti-execution campaign, the Resistance Units drew attention to the immediate danger facing prisoners under death sentences and called for urgent action to protect their lives.
A nationwide campaign against executions
The November 3 activities demonstrate how the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign has become a platform for solidarity between political prisoners, activists inside Iran, and supporters of the Iranian Resistance.
By taking their demands into public spaces across seven cities, the Resistance Units challenged the regime’s efforts to use executions as an instrument of intimidation and political repression.
Their central message was unequivocal: Iran needs an end to executions, the release of political prisoners, and freedom for all those imprisoned for their opposition to the regime.
