Resistance Units reportedly carried out a new wave of anti-repression operations and 30 revolutionary activities during the fourth week of Shahrivar, including actions targeting regime propaganda and Basij-linked sites.
According to a report published by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), Resistance Units carried out a new series of anti-repression activities across Iran during the fourth week of Shahrivar 1405. The reported actions included fires at regime propaganda banners and signs, attacks on several Basij-affiliated sites, and 30 additional revolutionary activities and acts of political graffiti.
The activities were described as being carried out in tribute to the 750 people whom the PMOI says were killed during the 2022 nationwide uprising. The report frames the campaign as an effort to challenge what it describes as the regime’s apparatus of repression and propaganda.
Reported Actions Target Basij and Intelligence-Linked Sites
The reported operations included several actions against facilities and signs associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Basij paramilitary organization, and the Ministry of Intelligence.
In Mashhad, the report says Resistance Units carried out explosions at two Basij sites and set fire to another Basij facility. In Bam, two locations described as Basij bases targeting students were reportedly set ablaze.
Other reported actions targeted regime-affiliated facilities in Iran’s southeast and west. In Iranshahr, a Basij site and a sign directing to a Ministry of Intelligence facility were reportedly set on fire. In Kermanshah, a site identified in the report as a center of repression was targeted.
The report also cites actions against signs identifying intelligence and surveillance structures. In Tehran, signs directing to a Ministry of Intelligence facility and a Basij intelligence-gathering center were reportedly set ablaze. A similar action was reported in Bushehr against a sign identifying a Basij intelligence-gathering facility.
Campaign Against Regime Propaganda
A substantial part of the reported activities focused on the regime’s public propaganda imagery.
According to the report, Resistance Units set fire to banners and billboards depicting former Supreme Leader Ruhollah Khomeini, former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and the current Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
The reported actions took place in numerous cities, including Tehran, Karaj, Bandar Abbas, Neyshabur, Yazd, Sari, Qom, Arak, Zanjan, Zahedan, Birjand, Sabzevar, Saveh, Babol, Kermanshah, and Sari.
Zahedan reportedly saw four separate actions involving banners depicting Ali Khamenei, while two such actions were reported in Birjand and Tehran. Other cities reported individual actions involving regime banners.
The campaign also targeted imagery of senior regime figures who have been killed. In Kermanshah, banners depicting former regime commanders were reportedly set on fire. In Semnan and Kermanshah, banners and posters depicting Qassem Soleimani were reportedly targeted. In Ahvaz, a banner depicting Soleimani was reportedly burned alongside the slogan, “Death to the oppressor, whether he is Shah or Leader.”
Political Graffiti and 30 Revolutionary Activities
Alongside the reported arson attacks, the Resistance Units carried out what the report describes as 30 “revolutionary practices” across Iran.
Political graffiti was reported in several cities. In Kerman, on Sadaf Street, activists reportedly wrote: “One hundred years of monarchy and Velayat crimes.” In Hamedan, on Chamran Boulevard, graffiti reportedly read: “Neither Shah nor bloodthirsty Sheikh.”
In Kashan, activists reportedly displayed the message “Hail Rajavi.”
These activities were presented as part of a broader campaign commemorating the victims of the 2022 uprising and maintaining anti-regime political activity despite the regime’s security measures.
The latest report follows a continuing pattern of activities attributed to Resistance Units in cities across Iran. Similar nationwide campaigns have previously combined attacks on regime propaganda with political messaging and graffiti.
