Resistance Units report a new wave of activities in cities across Iran, supporting political prisoners facing execution and marking the anniversary of the 2022 Bloody Friday massacre in Zahedan.

PMOI Resistance Units have carried out a new series of activities across cities in Iran, including actions supporting the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign and commemorating the victims of the September 30, 2022, Bloody Friday massacre in Zahedan.

According to reports from the Resistance Units, the activities included installing posters and banners, displaying photographs of political prisoners sentenced to death, and conducting photo actions calling for the cancellation of death sentences and the release of political prisoners.

The reported activities took place in Karaj, Tehran, Hamadan, Mashhad, Urmia, Arak, Yazd, Ahvaz, Bandar Abbas, Malayer, Langarud, Meshkindasht, Kermanshah, Fardis, Kazeroon, and Jahrom.

Resistance Units Support Prisoners Facing Execution

In Karaj, Resistance Units displayed posters featuring photographs of political prisoners facing execution, including Isa Chari, Zahra Tabari, Manouchehr Fallah, Masoud Jamei, Farshad Etemadifar, Mansour Jamali, Reza Abdali, Amir-Hassan Akbari Monfared, Yaqoub Derakhshan, Alireza Mardasi, Ehsan Faridi, and Arghavan Falahi.

Other activities in Karaj specifically called for the immediate cancellation of Arghavan Falahi’s death sentence and included banners carrying the names and photographs of the prisoners.

In Tehran, posters were installed in support of the families seeking justice and in solidarity with the No to Execution Tuesdays campaign. Other actions carried messages declaring that executions would not silence opposition and that protesters would return to the streets.

Resistance Units in Hamadan issued an audio message calling for the immediate cancellation of all death sentences against political prisoners in Iran.

In Mashhad and Urmia, activities specifically focused on the case of Zahra Tabari, while in Arak and Meshkindasht, activists highlighted the case of Mohammad Javad Vafaei Thani, a national boxing champion facing a death sentence.

In Yazd, a photo action called for the cancellation of Arghavan Falahi’s death sentence. In Ahvaz, activists declared that they would continue to speak for prisoners facing execution until their release.

In Bandar Abbas, the reported message pledged continued support for the No to Execution Tuesdays campaign. Similar activities in Malayer called for the cancellation of Isa Chari’s death sentence.

In Langarud, several photo actions called for the release of political prisoners and opposed executions. In Kermanshah, posters expressed solidarity with political prisoners and called for the cancellation of death sentences throughout Iran.

In Kazeroon, Resistance Units highlighted the cases of Mansour Jamali, Manouchehr Fallah, Isa Chari, and Yaqoub Derakhshan.

Activities in Jahrom included support for the No to Execution Tuesdays campaign, solidarity with the uprising, calls for the release of political prisoners, and opposition to executions.

The reports also included anti-dictatorship messages rejecting both the former monarchy and the current clerical regime.

Forty Commemorative Actions in 23 Cities

In a separate series of reported activities, Resistance Units carried out 40 commemorative actions in 23 cities marking the fourth anniversary of the September 30, 2022, Bloody Friday massacre in Zahedan.

The actions were reported in Tehran, Mashhad, Zahedan, Iranشهر, Karaj, Isfahan, Ahvaz, Qom, Ilam, Bushehr, Qazvin, Kermanshah, Bandar Abbas, Birjand, Shahriar, Dezful, Chabahar, Javanrud, Saveh, Azadshahr, Marivan, Khash, and Dehdasht.

The Resistance Units described the 2022 killings in Zahedan as a crime against humanity and emphasized that the victims should not be forgotten.

The reported activities included displaying and setting fire to banners depicting former and current regime leaders and symbols associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its affiliated forces.

Reported Actions Against IRGC and Basij Sites

According to the reports, several actions targeted Basij and IRGC facilities.

In Dehdasht, three explosions were reported at a Basij facility associated with the IRGC.

In Mashhad, two explosions were reported at Basij facilities.

In Zahedan, Resistance Units reported setting fire to two Basij and IRGC facilities using incendiary devices.

Similar attacks were reported against Basij facilities in Iranشهر, Ahvaz, Javanrud, and Chabahar, while an IRGC infantry unit in Marivan was also reportedly targeted.

In Ahvaz, the reports included actions against several Basij facilities, including a unit described as targeting school students.

In Bandar Abbas, a sign identifying an Intelligence Ministry-related facility was reportedly set on fire.

Burning Regime Symbols

The commemorative campaign also included actions against banners and posters depicting regime leaders.

According to the reports, banners featuring Ali Khamenei were set on fire in Tehran, Mashhad, Zahedan, Shahriar, Isfahan, Qazvin, Saveh, Azadshahr, Ilam, and Bushehr.

Other reported actions targeted images of former supreme leader Ruhollah Khomeini, former IRGC Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani, and current supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei.

In Kermanshah, Birjand, Dezful, and Khash, Resistance Units reported burning banners depicting Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, and Mojtaba Khamenei.

In Karaj, a banner depicting Mojtaba Khamenei was reportedly set on fire, while actions in Mashhad targeted several regime banners.

In Kermanshah, Resistance Units also reported burning banners associated with Qassem Soleimani and Iran-backed proxy forces.

In Qom, an action targeting a Basij banner reportedly displayed the messages “Death to Khamenei” and “Hail Rajavi.”

In Ilam, another reported action targeted a sign identifying a Basij intelligence-gathering facility and carried a message declaring readiness for an uprising and expressing support for Massoud Rajavi.

Continuing Resistance Activities

The latest reports describe two parallel strands of activity by the PMOI Resistance Units: solidarity with political prisoners and opposition to executions, alongside commemorative and protest actions marking victims of regime violence.

The activities supporting No to Execution Tuesdays placed the cases of political prisoners facing execution at the center of actions in numerous cities. The commemorative actions for the victims of Bloody Friday Zahedan sought to keep the memory of the September 2022 killings visible through banners, posters, and other forms of street activity.

The reports come as the No to Execution Tuesdays campaign has expanded to dozens of prisons across Iran, with prisoners continuing weekly hunger strikes in opposition to executions and in support of political prisoners.
