Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah, has once again acknowledged that from the time of Khomeini’s rise to power in 1979 until the present day, Iran’s regime has been actively involved in creating regional and international mercenary terrorist groups.
According to Nasrallah, Iran’s regime has openly supported and provided assistance to ‘resistance movements in Lebanon, Palestine, and the region.’ However, this Lebanese figure loyal to Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei, fearing international backlash and potential consequences for his party, added, ‘But he has never exerted pressure or offered advice to them.’
It is noteworthy that immediately after Nasrallah’s recent public speech, the state-run News TV channel reported:
“From the day that Imam Khomeini established this revolution until now, when Imam Khamenei, may God protect him, until now that this revolution exists, the Islamic Republic of Iran supports and helps openly all the resistance movements in Lebanon, Palestine, and the region, but there has never been any pressure or advice given to them.”
On December 30, 2020, the state-run Resalat newspaper wrote an article about the reime sending dollars to Syria and Lebanon and creating housing for 6,000 Lebanese families, in which it wrote:
“Is this news? No, we have heard many times more clearly than this from the highest officials of the country. The leader said that our help to the axis of resistance is obligatory. He said: ‘We will help, and we have no qualms about saying it.’ Seyyed Hasan Nasrallah also said: ‘We speak openly! Hezbollah’s food, weapons, and missiles arrive from the Islamic Republic of Iran, that’s all.'”
Comments like these put an end to the argument for many who tried to conceal the arms of the octopus in the countries of the region and claimed that Hezbollah and other mercenary groups of this regime were self-sufficient. Hassan Nasrallah‘s confession poured cold water on everyone’s claims.
Of course, it’s widely known that creating houses in Lebanon was just an excuse. The donated dollars were used to destabilize Lebanon and bolster Hezbollah. Additionally, this regime invested over $50 billion in Syria to prop up the fragile dictatorship of Bashar al-Assad, built on the corpses of the Syrian people.
The funds obtained from looting Iran’s national coffers were used to take the lives of more than 500,000 innocent people in Syria. The tragic scenes of civilian bombings and the slaughter of Syrian children remain etched in our memories.
Hassan Nasrallah’s confession clearly reveals that this regime uses the meager resources of the Iranian nation for terrorist activities in other countries and openly boasts about it. This is because, in order to suppress dissent and maintain its rule, it relies on the policy of exporting repression and its extremist ideology beyond Iran’s borders. This is what the people of Iran challenged during the 2009 uprising with the slogan ‘Not Gaza, not Lebanon, I sacrifice my life for Iran.’
Now, in the ongoing conflict in Gaza, it has become evident to many people worldwide that this regime and its proxy forces do not genuinely support the Palestinian cause, an independent Palestinian state, or the democratically elected Palestinian government. In practice, they have betrayed the Palestinian movement as much as possible and have attempted to sow discord within it.
The slain Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani once revealed how Khamenei and the apparatus under his command spare no expense when it comes to exporting terrorism and running the killing machine in Iraq and Syria. One example was the delivery of 88 Sukhoi planes to the Iraqi government in 2013. The continuous production of weapons for Khamenei’s war fronts, both in Iraq and Syria and other Arab and Islamic countries, was part of this policy.
Soleimani said, “The Islamic Republic was not like the United States, which took Iraq’s money but did not provide them with weapons when needed. As soon as the Iraqi Prime Minister requested, Iran sent them Iraqi Sukhoi 24 fighters! Accordingly, the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran produced and supplied weapons to Iraq in three shifts.”
He clearly stated that, for this regime’s purposes, the key to the IRGC weapons depots was held by ‘Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis,’ the slain commander of Hashd al-Shaabi.
This is just one example of the godfather of terrorism and warmongering’s interference in the affairs of regional countries.
Now, the leader of Hezbollah, while revealing the godfather of terrorism, awkwardly uses the phrase “never exerted pressure or offered advice to them” to underscore the warmongering role of Khamenei. But at this point, no one believes the lies of Iran’s regime and its proxies.
