She wrote that she was a supporter of PMOI but had only a “short-term internet relationship” with them. She pointed out that this was not unusual for the Iranian Regime who have condemned people to long sentences on unfounded charges with no trial.

She reveals that her father was murdered by the Regime in 1981; he was charged with “enmity against God”, a deliberately vague charge that the Iranian Regime levies upon anyone who has not committed a real crime.

In 1989, her father-in-law was helping a woman and her four-year-old child to escape to Zahedan. They were executed without any information being given to the family; the bodies were never released and neither was their burial place.

In 1992, her mother and brother were also arrested and served time in prison.
