As internal crises deepen and divisions widen within Iran’s ruling regime, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has escalated his use of violence to maintain control, ordering a mass wave of executions aimed at stifling dissent. Since February 19, nearly 100 executions have been carried out, signaling the regime’s intent to foster an atmosphere of terror and repression.

However, these brutal acts of state-sanctioned murder have not gone uncontested. Instead, the courageous rebellious youth of Iran have risen up in defiance, carrying out a series of bold resistance operations. With their rallying cry of “Fire answers executions,” they have responded with intense acts of protest, symbolizing their refusal to be intimidated by the regime’s oppressive measures.

A Surge of Resistance: Fire Against Execution

On March 10, the rebellious youth launched the fourth round of operations in the Persian month of Esfand (spanning from February 19 to March 20). This bold act was a direct response to the 96 known executions carried out by the regime up to March 8, as well as the 936 executions carried out since the tenure of President Masoud Pezeshkian began.

Executions backfire against Iran's regime

The youth’s fiery resistance targeted key centers of the regime’s power, including bases associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Basij forces, and centers of religious extremism and criminal activity. Some of the most notable operations included:

  • Setting fire to a center of fundamentalism and crime in Tehran.
  • Carrying out two incendiary attacks on the Khomeini Relief Committee in Kermanshah.
  • Attacking IRGC Basij bases in various cities, including Zarandin (Mazandaran Province), Shiraz, Mashhad, Sabzevar, Saravan, and Khash—locations known for their role in suppressing students and workers.
  • Destroying symbols of the regime, including billboards and banners bearing images of key figures like Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, and Qasem Soleimani, in cities such as Tehran, Tabriz, Karaj, Qazvin, Gorgan, Kerman, and Hamedan.

These operations were a powerful message of defiance, signaling that the Iranian people, particularly its youth, will not remain silent in the face of state-sponsored executions and violence. The regime’s brutal crackdown, which even continued during the holy month of Ramadan, including the execution of 27 prisoners on March 1, only fueled the fire of resistance.

A Growing Movement: The Third Round of Operations

On March 5, the rebellious youth escalated their actions with the third round of Esfand operations. This round, carried out in direct retaliation to the regime’s ongoing suppression, included 15 significant operations targeting key centers of the regime’s oppressive machinery. These actions included:

  • Attacks on regime centers involved in looting public wealth and resources in Miandorud, Mazandaran Province.
  • Incendiary assaults on regime buildings in Gohardasht, Karaj.
  • Attacks on centers of fundamentalism, criminality, and the suppression of women in Tehran and Mashhad.
  • Setting fire to IRGC Basij bases in Hashtgerd, Alborz Province, Kerman, and Sanandaj, all of which are linked to the regime’s efforts to suppress students and workers.
  • As in previous rounds of operations, the rebellious youth continued their campaign to destroy regime symbols and images, striking targets across the country, including in Isfahan, Rasht, Bojnurd, Meshkin Shahr, Anar, and Kerman Province.

A Pattern of Resistance: The First and Second Rounds of Operations

The actions of the rebellious youth began earlier in February, with the first and second rounds of Esfand operations marking the initial phase of their fiery response to the regime’s executions.

On February 24, as the first two days of Esfand revealed 17 executions, the youth responded with strikes in cities such as Isfahan, Tehran, Mashhad, and Karaj. Their actions included setting fire to images of Khomeini and Khamenei, as well as attacking Basij bases and centers of fundamentalism and criminality.

The second round of operations, launched on March 2, saw 15 fiery attacks, including incendiary actions against execution centers in Bavi (Khuzestan Province) and bases of the State Security Forces in Kermanshah. The youth also targeted centers that promote terrorism and the oppression of women in Kerman and Mashhad.

The Regime’s Continued Brutality

Despite the growing resistance, the Iranian regime continues its brutal approach, relying on violence and executions to intimidate its population. The regime’s actions, including mass executions carried out during Ramadan, demonstrate its disregard for human life in its quest to maintain control.

These acts of violence, however, have sparked an unrelenting response from the rebellious youth, who have made it clear that they will not bow to fear.

In conclusion, the struggle against the Iranian regime’s oppressive policies is intensifying, with the youth taking bold actions to resist the regime’s brutal tactics. Their fiery acts of defiance, marked by the slogan “Fire answers executions,” highlight the growing desire for change and the courage of those who refuse to accept tyranny.

As the regime continues its violent crackdown, the youth remain resolute, and the resistance movement grows stronger with each act of rebellion.
