Iran and its people are in the most sensitive and crucial situation in their history. They are at a point in which every Iranian, regardless of their political opinion or inclination, can contribute to the forthcoming change in the country’s fate and pay her/his share for a free Iran, that has been destroyed by the mullahs over the past four decades.

Today, we all have an opportunity to contribute to Iran’s freedom. Iran’s independent and free national TV, the Simay-e Azadi, is an essential medium to advocate for Iran’s freedom. By supporting this national channel, we can be the voice of the voiceless, deprived, and repressed society of Iran.

Many Iranian families are living below the poverty line, scrambling to make ends meet. Simay-e Azadi has become the only real voice for the people’s protests, political prisoners, and repressed women.

With more than four decades of credibility and a brilliant record of transparency and objectivism, the satellite channel is strengthening calls for democracy and unity in Iran.

The Iranian regime is a totalitarian, criminal, terrorist state which is hated by all the people, internationally isolated, and defeated in all economic, social, and political aspects. It has remained in power only because of its unbridled repression and the shameful appeasement by the world powers.

On the other hand, the Iranian people and their Resistance have been fighting this regime for more than four decades. Now, after forty years, the regime’s days are numbered.

With or without a nuclear bomb or the persistence of the appeasement policy, this regime has reached its final phase. Even auctioning the country’s wealth will not help the regime.

Society is in an explosive state, in view of the protests in 2009, 2017, 2019, and 2020, as well as the continuing rise of Resistance Units.

Ahmad Tavakoli, a member of the Expediency Council, has said, “72 percent of Iranians are entitled to donations. And 60 percent of the country’s population is below the poverty line, and if the situation does not change, something may happen that we cannot express.”

A regime expert, Mohammad Reza Mahboubfar, gave a statement about the doubling of the number of people living under the poverty line. He said on March 13, 2018, that 80 percent of the society lives under the poverty line. He quoted reports that said over the past three years poverty in the society has doubled and more than 40 million people live in absolute poverty, with many not even being able to afford one portion of a meal.

In such a situation, where teachers and workers live three to four times below the poverty line, the regime has decided to compensate its budget deficit by increasing taxes up to 73 percent and putting much more pressure on the people.

The regime has even canceled the development budget of the country, while at the same time, increasing the budget of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and other repressive institutions. The IRGC’s budget has been increased by 240 percent, while that of the state-run broadcaster has increased by 56 percent.

The best way to challenge the regime is to support the opposition’s TV channel Simaye Azadi, not only financially, but with our voices, hearts, and opinions. Join the national fundraising campaign for Simay-e Azadi from January 14 to January 16, 2022.
