Resistance Units intensified their nationwide campaign on July 5, displaying slogans rejecting both dictatorship and monarchy while promoting democratic change across cities throughout Iran.
Resistance Units continued their nationwide campaign of anti-regime activities on July 5, carrying out coordinated actions across numerous Iranian cities and reinforcing messages of democratic change, resistance, and opposition to both the ruling clerical establishment and a return to monarchy.
The activities, conducted by young activists affiliated with the Iranian Resistance, included the display of banners, posters, and slogans in public locations. The campaign reflected the Resistance Units’ ongoing effort to keep calls for political change visible despite the regime’s intensified crackdown following the recent war and the January nationwide uprising.
Nationwide Campaign Highlights Calls for Freedom
The actions were reported in cities spanning multiple provinces, including Tehran, Bandar Abbas, Sanandaj, Shiraz, Isfahan, Karaj, Hamadan, Zahedan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Sari, Kashan, Saveh, Rudsar, Behshahr, Azna, and Sardasht.
Many of the slogans emphasized commitment to freedom and resistance against dictatorship.
Among the messages displayed were:
- “My commitment is an unbreakable pledge to the freedom of all the people of Iran.”
- “Hail to Rajavi.”
- “Long live the National Liberation Army of Iran.”
- “We swear by the blood of our fallen comrades that we will stand until the end.”
Several actions also highlighted statements by Maryam Rajavi, including:
“In the face of soaring bread prices, the only solution is uprising and rebellion.”
The slogan linked worsening economic conditions with growing public discontent and calls for organized resistance.
Rejecting Both Dictatorship and Monarchy
A recurring theme throughout the campaign was the rejection of both the current clerical regime and any return to monarchical rule.
In multiple cities, Resistance Units displayed slogans including:
- “Neither Shah nor Mullah.”
- “Neither crown nor turban—your time is over, mullahs.”
- “Death to the oppressor, whether the Shah or the Supreme Leader.”
- “Monarchy and Velayat-e Faqih: one hundred years of crime.”
- “No monarchy, no supreme leadership—freedom and equality.”
These messages echoed one of the Iranian Resistance’s longstanding political positions: rejecting both the current theocratic dictatorship and the restoration of the former monarchy in favor of a democratic republic.
Promoting the Resistance as the Path to Change
Other slogans emphasized the role of organized resistance in achieving political transformation.
Among the messages displayed were:
- “The only path to liberation is the path of the MEK.”
- “The only path to liberation is armed resistance and overthrow.”
- “Long live the National Liberation Army.”
The campaign sought to present the Resistance as an organized alternative to both the ruling regime and monarchist currents.
Continuing Activities Despite Intensified Repression
The latest actions come amid an increasingly restrictive security environment inside Iran. Following the January uprising and the recent regional conflict, authorities have expanded arrests, surveillance, and repression targeting political activists and opposition networks.
Despite these measures, Resistance Units have continued carrying out public activities in cities across the country, using slogans, banners, posters, and other forms of civil resistance to challenge the regime’s narrative and demonstrate the continued presence of organized opposition.
The July 5 campaign illustrates the Resistance Units’ strategy of maintaining visible anti-regime activity across geographically diverse regions while emphasizing democratic change, social justice, and the rejection of both religious dictatorship and hereditary rule.
