Regime-aligned outlet attacks pro-Western politicians, rejects negotiations as smokescreen for military aggression.
The hardline Keyhan newspaper has attributed the end of the 12-day war with Israel to Iran’s missile capabilities rather than diplomatic efforts. Citing Western sources, the publication argued that prior negotiations were merely a cover for coordinated military planning between the United States and Israel.
The editorial criticized former Iranian officials, including Hassan Rouhani, for relying on diplomacy, accusing them of facilitating the enemy’s attack. Keyhan asserted that Iran still possesses undisclosed missile capacities and warned of major surprises in the event of future aggression. It dismissed peace efforts as psychological operations and reaffirmed that military deterrence remains the cornerstone of Iran’s defense strategy.
