The commemorative actions took place in Tehran, Karaj, Mashhad, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Bandar Abbas, and Ahvaz, reflecting the continued presence of organized resistance despite an escalating campaign of executions.
The nationwide campaign came after the regime executed Khanaki, an act that Resistance supporters describe as another attempt to intimidate political opponents amid growing domestic unrest. Through slogans, floral tributes, and public messages, participants emphasized that executions would not deter the movement and instead strengthen their resolve.
Resistance Units Pay Tribute to Mehdi Khanaki
Resistance Units dedicated their activities to honoring Khanaki’s steadfastness under imprisonment and his refusal to renounce his beliefs despite severe pressure and torture.
In Tehran, activists displayed messages paying tribute to Khanaki, including:
“Salute to PMOI martyr Mehdi Khanaki, who was executed today.”
Additional memorial ceremonies featured flowers and banners bearing a message from Maryam Rajavi, praising Khanaki’s courage:
“Thousands of salutes to the honor and steadfastness of PMOI member Mehdi Khanaki, who never bowed to torture or pressure and remained faithful to his commitment.”
Another message displayed Khanaki’s own pledge:
“I pledge and swear by the blood of the martyrs and the suffering of the prisoners that I will always remain steadfast and committed on this path.”
The activities in Tehran also included the slogan:

Karaj Memorial Ceremony Honors Khanaki’s Sacrifice
In Karaj, Resistance supporters laid a large floral wreath accompanied by Rajavi’s tribute to Khanaki’s perseverance. The ceremony emphasized his refusal to surrender under interrogation or coercion and portrayed his execution as a symbol of the regime’s fear of organized opposition.

Similar activities were reported in Mashhad, where supporters displayed multiple banners commemorating Khanaki while highlighting Rajavi’s statement:
“The consecutive executions of rebellious youths and freedom fighters are another sign of the regime’s fear of the people’s explosive anger.”
Other banners praised Khanaki’s steadfastness and condemned his execution by the Iranian regime.
In Shiraz, activists hailed Khanaki as a heroic PMOI member whose sacrifice would inspire continued resistance.

In Kermanshah, Resistance Units issued one of the campaign’s strongest messages, declaring that the path of Mehdi Khanaki would continue through organized resistance. Alongside tributes to Khanaki, supporters again displayed his pledge of unwavering commitment to the struggle.
Meanwhile, in Bandar Abbas, banners once more praised Khanaki’s resilience in the face of torture and repression.
