On Sunday, December 25, 2022, the people of Iran continued the revolution for freedom, justice, equality, and a decent life. “Poverty, corruption, high prices; we’re going to overthrow [the regime],” protesters chanted in various cities.

Sounding its concerns over the Iranian Resistance, the regime’s propaganda apparatus IRIB—designated by the U.S. and EU for supporting suppression and terrorism—aired several programs to demonize the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran.

The new wave began following the Organization of Iranian American Communities’ summit in Washington, DC. At the event, several prominent personalities, including Mike Pompeo, Gary Locke, Linda Chavez, Sen. Sam Brownback, and Gen. Jack Keane, supported Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, and her ten-point plan for a democratic, secular, non-nuclear republic of Iran.

The summit came after several sessions in the U.S. Senate, the Canadian Parliament, the Belgian Chamber of Representatives, and the UK House of Commons; all declared their support for the NCRI and Mrs. Rajavi.

December 25 marked the 101st day of anti-regime protests in Iran. The demonstrations began following the heinous murder of Mahsa Amini, 22, in police custody. However, it immediately turned into a revolution against the entire theocratic regime.

According to the Iranian opposition Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK/PMOI), the protests have extended to 280 cities. The regime has killed over 750 citizens, injured tens of thousands, and detained more than 30,000. The MEK has published the names of 601 killed protesters.
