According to Hamed Ghader Marzi, member of the Civil Development Committee of the regime’s parliament, quoting unofficial sources “The plane had technical defect before the flight,” state-run IRNA news agency reported.

The Antonov aircraft, which is built in Iran as  the”Iran 140″, crashed after take-off from Tehran’s Mehrabad airport on Sunday, 10 August. The bodies of at least 39 passengers (majority of the passengers) were found on the scene of the crash.

Alireza Khosravi, another member of the Civil Development Committee of the regime’s parliament, in an interview with state-run Mehr news agency on 10 August said from the very beginning of the construction of the aircraft, “many doubts” existed regarding its engine. He said that the “Iran 140” aircraft “had not met  international standards.”

The “Iran 140” aircrafts which are assembled in Iran with participation of Ukraine and Russia so far crashed several times or their engine have  caught fire. In the first deadly crash 12 years ago, the managers and technical staff of Russian and Ukrainian companies were killed when a similar Antonov aircraft they were flying on crashed on its way to the ceremony of the aircraft assembly in Isfahan.
